Skills verification with security and human review

Skills verification involves sensitive candidate information and decisions that affect people. SkillsValidator protects that information, keeps integrity flags subject to human review and helps employers use consistent, job-related evidence. Your team controls the evaluation and remains responsible for the hiring decision.

Protect candidate data throughout skills verification

SkillsValidator protects candidate data with TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest. Access is limited to authorized people and service providers who need it to deliver the service. Candidate data is never sold and is never used to train models for other customers. Employers retain control of their evaluation records.

  • Candidate submissions, explain-back answers, integrity signals and reports are handled as employer-controlled candidate data.
  • AI model processing drafts rubrics and analyzes answers under service delivery restrictions.
  • Share report links and PDFs only with people authorized to review them.
  • Read the privacy policy for processing purposes, sharing and individual rights.

Review integrity signals alongside the work

Every integrity flag goes to human review and never causes automatic rejection. Paste events, typing rhythm, time-on-task anomalies and similarity to known AI output provide context, rather than proof of misconduct. Reviewers consider the candidate's work and explain-back answers together, including legitimate assistance, accessibility needs and any relevant explanation from the candidate.

  • Starter includes basic integrity signals, and Growth includes full integrity signals.
  • Scale adds a review queue, and Enterprise includes custom integrity rules.
  • The strong, verify and not shown recommendation bands summarize evidence rather than decide an employment outcome.
  • See how the validation works for the task and follow-up process.

Keep evaluation job-related and consistent

SkillsValidator supports job-related, consistent and documented evaluation through role-specific tasks and explicit rubric criteria. Candidates request accommodations through the employer, who determines appropriate adjustments and communicates expectations. Employers review evidence in context and remain responsible for hiring decisions, candidate notices and meeting the requirements that apply to their evaluation process.

  • Use the same relevant skill criteria for candidates evaluated for the same role.
  • Explain the purpose of the validation and the employer's rules about permitted assistance.
  • Some US jurisdictions regulate automated employment decision tools. The employer decides whether those rules apply to its use and meets applicable obligations.
  • SkillsValidator provides no legal certification, regulatory approval or guarantee of compliance. This page is not legal advice.
  • Read the candidate and fairness answers before inviting candidates.

Keep candidate records for the period you need

Employers set data retention controls for candidate submissions and reports according to their evaluation needs and applicable obligations. Deletion is available on request, subject to identity and authority checks and lawful retention requirements. Candidates direct requests about an employer's evaluation records to that employer, with SkillsValidator supporting the employer as a processor.

  • Ask the employer to explain the retention period for your evaluation.
  • Email [email protected] for help routing a request or managing service account data.
  • Deletion from the service does not delete copies an employer exports to another system.
  • The privacy policy explains retention exceptions and individual rights.

Give reviewers access that matches their responsibilities

Account access is limited to authorized users, and supported plans provide role-based controls for team permissions. Growth includes roles, while Scale and Enterprise include SSO and an audit log. Employers assign access, review permissions and control report sharing so candidate evidence reaches the people responsible for the evaluation rather than unrelated users.

  • Scale includes SSO through SAML, roles and an audit log.
  • Enterprise includes SSO, SCIM, an audit log and data residency.
  • Keep account credentials private and remove access when a team member no longer needs it.
  • Compare seats and access controls on the pricing page.

Review Enterprise security and processing terms

Enterprise includes a DPA and security review pack so your organization can assess processing responsibilities, access controls and service commitments. Data residency, custom integrations and a named contact by email support that review. Enterprise is 1 499 USD per month, or 749 USD per month billed yearly, with self-serve account creation and a 99.9 percent SLA.

  • Review the DPA for the scope of candidate data processing and each party's obligations.
  • Use the security review pack to assess controls against your requirements.
  • Review data residency and service commitments in the Enterprise agreement.
  • Create your Enterprise account through pricing, and send procurement questions to [email protected].

Responsible disclosure

Report a security concern responsibly

Send suspected vulnerabilities to [email protected] so the issue can be assessed and addressed. Include the affected page or feature, a clear description and safe reproduction steps. Limit testing to accounts and data you control, avoid disruption, and stop if you encounter another person's data. Do not include passwords or sensitive candidate submissions.

  • Email [email protected] with a concise description of the concern.
  • Share only the minimum evidence needed to understand the issue.
  • Coordinate disclosure while the issue is assessed and addressed.
